The scene in which Daryl was coerced into killing Merle makes it to the ranking because it was such a devastating moment. Although many viewers were happy to see Merle die, it was at the same time painful to watch Daryl fall to the ground weeping as he was forced to kill his own brother. The killing happened in season three and it is definitely a scene fans of “The Walking Dead” will never forget.
