Adjustable beds need bendy mattresses in order to function properly, which is why the depth of your mattress is vital: the thicker they are, the harder it will be to bend them. The recommended depth is of 12 inches, although many memory foam mattresses are not thicker than 8 inches which is good enough. However, if you are a side sleepers or if you are heavy, a mattress which is about 10 or 12 inches might be the best option for you to avoid having problems.
