Many auto insurance companies will provide either the European breakdown cover or a general abroad breakdown cover. If you have never visited another country and you have no plans of doing so in the near future, the getting this extra when getting a breakdown cover would only be a waste of your money. An abroad breakdown cover is not a sound investment when you clearly know that you will be staying and driving in your mother country. So, to be fair to your budget then it would be wise to avoid this type of extra cover when getting your breakdown cover.
