Typically, a senior software engineer’s work involves developing, designing and running software. They are also responsible for managing a team of software engineers, troubleshooting issues, debugging and overseeing any software related projects. A software engineer does not have to meet with the end user to do his job, a situation that makes it possible for him/her to work from home. However, this position requires individuals with experience with a variety of programming languages and diverse programming skills. However, these jobs are extremely competitive.
